About Tournament of Kings
Tournament of Kings opened with Excalibur in 1990 as a dinner-theater jousting production — riders in medieval costume compete in a dirt-floor arena while the audience eats a roasted Cornish game hen without utensils. The show has run essentially unchanged for over three decades. The narrative tracks King Arthur's court hosting a tournament that a Dragon King ultimately disrupts; audience sections are assigned to root for different "countries" with their own knight. Pyrotechnics, live music, and genuine horsemanship carry the evening. 90 minutes including the meal. The dirt-floor arena and rough-hewn seating trade comfort for immersion. Family-friendly; kids are the target demographic, and the show delivers for that audience in a way very few Strip productions do.
