The Peppermill opened on the Strip in 1972 and is one of the last surviving freestanding restaurants on Las Vegas Boulevard — the Strip's resort consolidation mostly swallowed its independent neighbors. The dining room retains its original neon, mirrored walls, booth upholstery, and oversized fruit plates. The Fireside Lounge in the back is a separate cocktail-lounge concept with a sunken circular fire pit, pink-and-red lighting, and enormous drinks served in fishbowl goblets. The menu hits all the American-diner staples — massive omelettes, burgers, steak-and-eggs — at 3 a.m. as easily as 3 p.m. Open 24 hours a day. Cash-and-card. No reservations. A required stop for anyone who wants to see Old Strip-era service that still exists on Las Vegas Boulevard in 2026.
