About Battista's Hole in the Wall

Battista's Hole in the Wall opened in 1970 on Flamingo Road just west of the Strip, in a low-slung building that looks exactly the way it did the day it opened. Owner Battista Locatelli ran it personally for decades; the current operators preserved the dining room, the menu, and the service tempo without substantive change. The format is a prix-fixe Italian-American dinner — salad, minestrone, garlic bread, main, capuccino — with unlimited house wine included and no options to deviate. An accordion player wanders the dining room through dinner service. Photos of Vegas celebrities from four decades cover every wall. Walk-ins and reservations both work most weekday nights. Saturdays can be difficult. It's the easiest Strip-adjacent restaurant to experience 1970s Vegas service pacing without leaving Paradise.
