About Discovery Children's Museum
The Discovery Children's Museum reopened in its current Symphony Park location in 2013, sharing a campus with the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The 58,000-square-foot facility spreads nine themed exhibition halls across three floors, all aimed at children 12 and under (with the heaviest programming targeting ages 3 to 9). Permanent exhibits include Water World, Toddler Town, Patents Pending (a maker space), and the three-story Summit climbing structure that runs the height of the atrium. Programming rotates seasonally, with a deep STEM bench during the school year. Reservations recommended on weekends. Free parking in the Symphony Park lot. Easy ten-minute walk from the Fremont Street Experience.
