About The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan opened in December 2010 after a long development stall left it half-finished through the financial crisis. Deutsche Bank ultimately took ownership and opened it as a design-forward property targeting a younger, more affluent traveler than the MGM Grand next door. The 3,005 rooms are notably larger and more stylish than the Strip norm — many include private terraces facing the Strip, a feature nearly absent from competing properties. Public spaces include the Chandelier, a three-story bar inside a crystal curtain, and the Boulevard Pool deck, which doubles as a concert venue. MGM Resorts bought the property in 2022. The art program, the secret pizza place behind an unmarked hallway, and the rooftop aesthetic have survived the acquisition largely intact.
