About Clark County Wetlands Park

Clark County Wetlands Park is the largest park in the Clark County system at 2,900 acres. The land was reclaimed from the Las Vegas Wash, the channel that carries the valley's treated wastewater and stormwater out to Lake Mead, and is now one of the most successful urban-wetland restorations in the Southwest. The Nature Preserve at the western end has a free interpretive center, paved walking loops past ponds and meadows, and a viewing deck. Bird counts have logged more than 300 species, including burrowing owls and great blue herons. The Wetlands Loop Trail extends miles further east for serious walking. Free admission. Open dawn to dusk. Easiest access is the Nature Center entrance off Wetlands Park Lane.
